We’re on a mission to bring people together.

The Skyfire Environmental Film Festival is designed as a three-day event that blends powerful storytelling with community engagement to spark environmental action.

Through curated films, public transit partnerships, zero-waste initiatives, and service projects, the festival creates an immersive experience that connects audiences with urgent climate challenges and local solutions.

By combining art, sustainability, and community activation, it seeks to inspire a cultural shift—transforming awareness into measurable impact across Arizona and beyond.

Partnerships with Purpose

Urban Farming Education, with partners such as Perennial Films, the Arizona Composting Council, Arizona State University, Grand Canyon University, and Scottsdale Community College, shows how education, research, and storytelling can work together to inspire climate-smart solutions.

Collaborations with Red Velvet Recipes and Heritage Headquarters make sustainability part of everyday life—approachable, tangible, and culturally relevant.

Each partner plays a vital role: education builds leaders, media shapes narratives, community groups drive action, and businesses align brand with purpose. Together, this coalition creates a model of collective impact where sustainability becomes a lived experience and a pathway to lasting change.

Writing the Playbook for Sustainability.

The Skyfire Film Festival is writing the playbook for sustainability by creating a strategy that weaves zero-waste practices and public transportation into the fabric of the event.

While other festivals have merely made the recommendation, Skyfire is setting the expectation—making sustainability a standard, not an option.

Through partnerships with organizations committed to climate action, the festival is building a model where every cup, plate, and piece of material is diverted from the landfill, and every attendee has access to seamless, eco-friendly transit.

By aligning with sustainability leaders, transit providers, and waste diversion experts, Skyfire isn’t just hosting a festival—it’s setting the stage for a replicable blueprint where arts, community engagement, and environmental responsibility converge to inspire action.
